Our Approach to Privacy
We run this blog because we love tech, not because we want to collect your personal info. This privacy document describes the small amount of data we handle when you read our tutorials or write to us.
Staying on this site means you're cool with our rules. If you're not, no hard feelings just close the tab.
Server Logs
Our server automatically keeps track of tech details like IP addresses, timestamps, and which links get clicked. It's just a normal log file to protect the site from spam and see which guides are popular.
We don't use this to track you specifically it's just standard server details to spot hack attempts and see which articles get traffic.
Google AdSense & Ads
We show Google AdSense ads to help cover our server bills. Google drops ad cookies to show you relevant stuff based on pages you visit on the web.
You can block these in your Google ad settings page. Sometimes other ad networks show up here too, and they follow their own rules.
Google Privacy & Terms →Info You Give Us
If you send a query through our contact box, we'll need a name and email to write back to you. We only use these details to write back to you. We don't compile list subscriptions or sell your details.
We don't collect bank details, home addresses, or government IDs. Here is the small list of things we might process:
- •Name and email (only if you fill out the contact form)
- •IP address (logged by the hosting server)
- •Browser information (like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox)
- •The pages you read and when you read them
How We Use the Data
We use the logged info to check which articles are popular, fix bugs, and serve ads through AdSense. We do not sell or trade your details to marketing agencies. That's a promise.
European GDPR Rules
If you are visiting from Europe, you have strict data rights under the GDPR law. You can request copies of the details we hold, ask us to fix errors, or tell us to delete everything.
- •The right to ask for a copy of your data
- •The right to fix incorrect information
- •The right to tell us to delete your info
- •The right to ask us to stop processing your data
California Data Rights
For readers in California, CCPA laws give you specific options regarding your personal information.
- •Knowing exactly what details we collected
- •Telling us to delete all stored details
- •Opting out of data sales (though we never sell data anyway)
Protecting Kids
This blog is for general audiences, but we don't target kids under 13. If you think your child sent us their email through the contact form, shoot us a message and we will wipe it from our logs immediately.
How Long We Keep Info
We don't hold onto messages or server logs forever. We delete them once they are no longer needed to keep our systems secure and clean.
Policy Updates
Sometimes we have to update this document. When we do, we change the update date at the top. We recommend checking back occasionally to stay in the loop.
